Hand embroidered Kurti Top - Chikan Embroidery - Sunshine

The art of 'chikan' embroidery from Lucknow, is centuries old and the motifs and hand drawn and embroidered with cotton / silk thread in reverse, to give a 'shadow' effect on the fabric. It can take several days to make a yard of fabric. Usually the lightest cotton, chiffon or georgette is used, but thick linen is sometimes used as well.

This short 'Kurta' or shirt / top can be worn with a pair of trousers or skirt, and the cotton lightweight fabric is great for sprint and summer. Bright Yellow.
