This is a traditional ladies handbag from the Indian sub-continent, in rectangular shape, standard size, and made from a range of materials. Richly decorated, each is made by hand by master craftsmen and no two look the same. Custom made to coordinate richly embroidered dresses, these bags frequently use the traditional arts of embroidery - 'zari' and 'zardozi' from metallic and cotton threads on silk and satin.
