Hand embroidered Women's Kurti Top - Chikan Embroidery - Purple Flowers

The art of 'chikan' embroidery from Lucknow, is centuries old and the motifs and hand drawn and embroidered with cotton / silk thread in reverse, to give a 'shadow' effect on the fabric. It can take several days to make a yard of fabric. Usually the lightest cotton, chiffon or georgette is used, but thick linen is sometimes used as well.

This short 'Kurta' or shirt / top with short sleeves &  neck can be worn with a pair of trousers or skirt, and the lightweight georgette fabric is great for sprint and summer. Purple with Floral embroidery.

Wash separately with cold water and mild detergent.
