Handmade in its strictest sense, this pure wool shawl / stole, is handwoven in the Kanihama village in Kashmir, giving the weave its name of 'Kani'. With a broad border in various shades of rust, and a 'pallu' like border on the end, the design truly complements the rich colours used in this fine piece.
The design incorporates paisley and floral patterns, which is a prominent, motif amongst the arts in the sub-continent. The size of this shawl / stole, is just right to be used as a wrap around or a scarf to be worn round the neck or draped like a dupatta. Endless styles with this versatile item.
