Handwoven Pashmina Shawl / Scarf / Stole - Kalamkari Kairi Pallu
Handmade in its strictest sense, this ultra fine pure wool shawl / stole, is handwoven in the Kanihama village in Kashmir, giving the weave its name of 'Kani'. The fabric is made of ultra fine wool, lightweight and fine enough to pass through the gap between the thumb and the index finger.
The design is 'kalamkari' incorporating paisley and floral patterns, which is a prominent, motif amongst the arts in the sub-continent, using natural dyes only. The size of this shawl / stole, is just right to be used as a wrap around or a scarf to be worn round the neck or draped like a dupatta.
Dry clean only. Do not wash.
